The Internship Study...

Intern Bridge administers the largest internship-only, student-driven surveys in the country.

At the heart of all our services is our annual experiential education research project known as The Internship Study.

Successfully launched at over 100 universities annually, the survey invites students to share their thoughts regarding best internship management practices. Topics covered in the annual survey include the best way to market internship opportunities to students, work structure, selecting the best supervisor, evaluating interns, orientation practices, compensation, benefits, and much more. Results from previous research projects can be found on the resources page.

The survey is implemented using internet technologies, and allows easy access to data once it is collected. Career Center staff administer the survey at their respective campuses via email. Students are encouraged to participate in the research project, and are offered various prizes which are donated by corporate sponsors. Each Career Center then receives their respective data sets. Most Career Centers tell us that they achieve a higher quantity (and higher quality) of responses using our survey than surveys implemented from within their institutions.

If you represent a university and are interested in having your students participate in the 2008 Internship Study, expected to launch in September of 2008, please visit www.TheInternshipStudy.com. The planning process for the next survey has already begun!

2007 Internship Study

The 2007 Internship Study concluded on December 14th. We are pleased to announce more than 12,000 student responses were collected this year! The official report will be made available in March of 2008.

Intern Bridge would like to thank the Eastern Association of Colleges and Employers for their support in conducting this monumental project through our unique research partnership.

Intern Bridge would also like to take the opportunity to thank this year's sponsors, without whom our continued research would not be possible.
