The changing global economy has created an environment in which a college’s ability to support the career and professional development needs of its diverse student and alumni populations has become paramount. Leveraging the time, talent, and treasure of your alumni can have a significant return on investment –valuable networking contacts, connections to hiring managers, and alumni support of funding opportunities, as three examples. This workshop will provide participants with an overview of trend data in alumni career support as well as present two case studies –one of a small, private college and one of a large public university, as a tool for illustrating examples of alumni career support and alumni engagement initiatives.
This presentation was part of the Intern Bridge 2009 Career Services Online Conference.
