Career Services Online Conference

Testimonials from past Career Services Online Conference participants.

The online conference brought us multiple learning opportunities in a short time frame at an extraordinarily low price. The return on investment was incredibly high.

John Adams

Director of Career Services, Davidson College

Events such as the Intern Bridge online conference provide an opportunity for Career Services professionals to benefit from the innovative and successful programming ideas developed by colleagues across the country. With many departments being asked to do more with less, attending in-person conferences is not a current option for professional development.

Rachel Moeller

Associate Director of Career Services, Lafayette College

The Career Services Conference provides the opportunity for my entire department to participate in a meaningful conference. Due to budget reasons, they would not otherwise have that opportunity. This is the second conference we have participated in. The sessions from both conferences have provided ideas that we have begun to implement in our office. We plan on participating again. Thank you.

Ron Orick

Director of Career Services, University of Arkansas - Fort Smith

The Career Services Online Conference provided valuable and timely professional development on a variety of relevant Career topics. I finished the conference with fresh ideas and increased motivation. My colleagues and I were able to participate in the conference without leaving the comfort (and budgets) of our own office. We look forward to participating again!

Amanda Ljubicic

Assistant Director of Career Services, Mitchell College

This was my first webinar experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The presenters were well organized and experienced and provided excellent information. I didn't have to travel and spend limited resources and I could work between sessions and get projects completed. I felt it was a win/win situation for me.

Connie Cluff

Director of Internships and Career Services, Brigham Young University

The Intern Bridge Webinar was so convenient from the comfort of my own desk! The speakers were diverse and very knowledge of their topics. It was a very efficient and effective way to provide a broad range of topics from various perspectives. It was a very insightful experience!

Megan Beers

Academic Affairs and Financial Aid Coordinator, South Hills School of Business

The online conference provided the opportunity for my entire staff to participate in the conference. Due to budget constraints, I could not have provided that opportunity otherwise. Through the workshops, we were able to investigate some new ideas that we implemented as goals for our office. We would definitely participate again. Thank you for setting it up.

Ron Orick

Director of Career Services, University of Arkansas, Fort Smith

My entire staff participated in sessions on topics immediately relevant to us! We implemented several ideas within a week of participating.

Linda Batemen

Director of Career Services, Trine University

The Intern Bridge virtual career services conference provided an array of topics to choose from and the convenience of attending all the sessions without leaving my own desk. The keynote and several other sessions were useful. It was also fun to be a presenter with my colleague Cheryl Kohen and be able to reach out to and share our message with a national audience - again, all without leaving the office. Kudos on a job well done!

Douglas Eisenhart

Associate Director of Employer Relations, Simmons College

The Career Services Online Conference provided a great opportunity to conveniently and cost-effectively gain valuable insights and practical knowledge about a wide range of topics that will enable us to enhance the services we provide to our students. All of the presenters were well-prepared and engaging, and open to sharing their resources. Due to our isolated location and tight budget, it would have been impossible to physically attend such a conference. The archived sessions are also a real bonus. Several of our academic advisors and our disabilities support services coordinator have already viewed some of the archived sessions and found them to be extremely helpful. I look forward to participating in the next online careers conference.

Steve Laing

Director of Career Services, University of Alaska Southeast

The Career Services Online Conference provided an excellent, cost effective professional development opportunity for all of our staff. The diversity of topics and opportunity for the real-time exchange after each of the sessions was very helpful. You can count on the University of South Florida Career Center to participate in any future online conferences. It was well worth the time we invested and we gained some new and creative ideas from our colleagues.

Drema Howard

Director of Career Services, University of South Florida

The Career Services Online Conference was one of the best conferences I have attended. What I like best is that all participants have access to the archived sessions, so you don't have to miss out on a session that ran concurrently with another. It eliminated the costs of airfare, hotels, meals and time demands, which is huge especially now at a time when colleges and universities are doing more with less.

Lori Smith

Assistant Director of Career Services, Nichols College

Great online conference..it gave us a lot to think about re: our alumni services and how we should be connecting with them. I've set up an internal meeting and will present some of the ideas mentioned in the conference and am hopeful this will help us foster our alumni relationship. I would participate again with the hope that the knowledge would benefit us.

Rochelle Diablo

Program Assistant of Career Management Centre, Simon Fraser University

The Career Services Online Conference was great because it allowed me to see all the different methods other Universities were using to reach their student population. I enjoyed hearing from other Career Service professionals that have been in the field longer than I have and learning some best practices on how to best reach today's student. I would most definitely attend another Conference, because I know trends will change and I feel this online conference helps me keep up to date with all the new ideas and trends to reach a variety students.

Brian Henderson

Career Development Specialist, Arkansas Tech University

I truly enjoyed the online experience from Intern Bridge because it provided me the opportunity to view/participate in a variety of career-relate topics and issues form my office. Being physically challenged, this is the perfect venue for me, not to say it saved our office a lot of money and due to the state freeze this is work-a-round from the regional and national conferences. This format provides a way to learn from others and network with folks in our field without spending the $700-900 fee for a conference. The topic areas were relevant and current and the ability to chat and ask questions made it feel like you were truly networking with others. I would definitely participate again and this past web conference made me a believe in the notion that this is "the" way to exchange information in my opinion. I am ready to register for the next web conference!

Charlie Endicott

Associate Director of Career Services, Salisbury University

The Career Services Online Conference was such a great way to reach participants where they are. With limited professional development budgets and time to travel, our team was able to participate in a three day conference without leaving our desks. That is extremely valuable to us! Plus, we were able to communicate with one another and recommend sessions we missed and still catch those through recordings; brilliant! Thank you so much!

Jill Vanderwall

Assistant Director of Career Services, Harrison College

The Career Services Online Conference provided affordable, convenient and up-to-date career information for both new and seasoned professionals. This was a win-win opportunity for both my staff and for my ever-shrinking administrative budget! Thank you!!

Gail Berman-Martin

Director of Career Development, University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth

The Career Services online conference was very convenient and well-organized. I appreciated not having to sacrifice time away from the office in order to gain useful information. Also, I thought the sessions provided useful information in a succinct way. Using the question log allowed participants to ask questions without getting the presentation "off track." Well done!
