The Job Coach for Young Professionals is an interactive workbook designed to help college graduates and young professionals navigate the hiring process. The exercises provided help candidates identify the right job, set realistic career goals that fit one’s skills and interests, prepare for interviews and conduct an effective job search. Strategies to succeed in the workplace are included to help alleviate the anxiety associates with making this transition.
The book was written by Susan Kennedy and Karen Baker of Career Treking LLC. Susan and Karen have interviewed and coached thousands of young professionals in their corporate lives as well as their job coaching business. As the business grew, there was a demand to document the process for use as an essential guide for every young professional to use on their own.
This webinar will walk through the Job Coach workbook: the strategies, the exercises and the tips for success that every young professional can benefit from.
Program Outline
Overview: The Job Coach for Young Professionals process and successes
Assess Myself: The Career Treking LLC assessment process begins with self assessment and learning from others and culminates with establishing clear career goals that fit one’s skills, interests and work values and work within any economy.
Prepare Myself: Candidates are quite often unprepared for an interview: they typically cannot articulate who they are and why they are the best person for the job. This process ensures that candidates are always prepared for the interview and can handle even the most difficult interview questions with confidence.
Sell Myself: This third step is designed to help candidates plan and implement a successful job search. A job search action plan is used to drive the process. Appropriate strategies are presented and tools to stay organized are provided.
