About The Presenters
Rachel Reiser
Rachel I. Reiser is currently Associate Dean for Academic Services at Babson College in Wellesley, MA. In a career spanning over 15 years in higher education, Rachel has held positions at several schools working directly with college students, providing her with the opportunity to experience first-hand the changing characteristics of today’s late adolescent. This, coupled with her own observations, has fostered her professional interest in generational studies. Rachel has researched, written, and presented extensively on the demographics and psychographics of the Millennial generation, and also serves as a consultant to companies and other organizations in helping them to consider their work in the age of the Millennial Generation.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College and a Masters in Higher Education from Columbia University Teachers College. She is a 2009 alumnae of the Management Institute for Women in Higher Education at Wellesley College, and was awarded the Massachusetts Association for Women in Education Award for Professional Excellence in 2006. Rachel is the author of Millennials on Board: The Impact of the Rising Generation on the Workforce.
Richard Bottner
Richard Bottner is the Founder and President of Intern Bridge, the nation's leading college-level talent acquisition consulting firm.
He is the author of Total Internship Management: The Employer's Guide to Building the Ultimate Internship Program. Richard founded Intern Bridge in 2005 while attending Babson College. After taking part in two internships, one high-quality position and one terrible experience, and spending much of his time networking with one of the largest human resources associations in the nation, Richard decided to conduct an independent study project to determine internship best practices. The study is what started it all - the National Internship and Co-op Study is now conducted annually on several hundred campuses throughout the United States.
Backed by this proprietary research, Richard has produced a series of workshops, webinars and publications to help employers build effective internship programs.
- In 2008, Richard was named to the Business Week list of the Top 25 U.S. Entrepreneurs Under 25, and he was appointed to the Human Capital Institute College Advisory Panel. He also received a citation from Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick for "entrepreneurial excellence."
- Richard has been quoted as an internship and generational expert in Human Resources Executive Magazine, CNN Money, Yahoo! Finance, Boston Business Journal, Business Week, Smart Money, About.com, Boston Globe, and more.
- In addition to several national and regional human resources and professional business associations, Richard is a member of the Northeast Human Resources Association where he serves on the College Relations Committee, and the New England Association of Cooperative Education and Field Experience where he serves on the Board of Directors.
